Sappho’s Prize in Poetry, Headmistress Press, Sequim, WA (2021). Sappho’s Prize in Poetry is awarded annually for one full-length poetry collection by a lesbian. The winning manuscript was selected by Mary Meriam, and published by Headmistress Press.
Patricia Dobler Poetry Award, Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA (2021) Founded in 2007 and sponsored by Madwomen in the Attic, the Patricia Dobler Poetry Award was created to honor the work of women writers and the memory of the late Patricia Dobler, esteemed English professor at Carlow, distinguished poet, and former Madwomen director. My winning poem, “Your Sister Brings Me an Orchard” was selected by contest judge, Lee Ann Roripaugh.
The Audre Lorde Award, Hunter College, New York, NY (2003) English Department award for finest creative work by an LGBTQ student.
